The inside story
Rome-Fiumicino International Airport "Leonardo da Vinci" is one of two airports in Rome and is located about 22 miles from Rome's historic city center. The international airport is one of the busiest airports in Europe while serving around 44 million passengers a year, and serves more than 210 destinations throughout the world.
Fiumicino Airport has two passenger terminals (T1 and T3) in use while the third (T5) is currently being renovated. For those passengers who have extended layovers or just passing by, the airport offers a free personal shopper service that you can book in order to help you shop at the numerous tax-free shops with "made in Italy" brand names found in the airport.
