Tucked away on the island’s west coast, this sheltered bay is known for its calm, crystal-clear sea, making it an ideal spot whether you want to swim, unwind or simply enjoy a slower pace by the Mediterranean.
You can stretch out on the sand, snorkel in the clear water or follow the rocky coastline to discover small coves and peaceful viewpoints. Beach clubs, restaurants and watersports are all within easy reach, while the bay’s sheltered conditions make it especially popular with families. The seabed around Cala Bassa is home to extensive Posidonia oceanica seagrass meadows, a UNESCO-protected ecosystem that helps keep Ibiza’s waters exceptionally clear.
