Discover Pisa on a half-day trip from Florence, travelling through the Tuscan countryside to reach one of Italy's most well-known historic university cities, recognised for its distinctive architecture and atmosphere.
You can choose between two options: a semi-independent experience without a guided tour, or a tour in English or Spanish with a guide accompanying your visit.
If you select the guided option, you'll take part in a walking tour of Piazza dei Miracoli and its monuments. With an expert guide, you'll explore one of Italy's most iconic squares, known as the Square of Miracles for the harmony of its buildings. You'll see the Cathedral, an example of Pisan Romanesque architecture, the Leaning Tower, the circular Baptistery with its arcades, and the Camposanto, a historic cemetery enclosed by a marble façade.
Particular attention is given to the Leaning Tower of Pisa, one of the city's most recognisable landmarks. You'll learn about its history, its distinctive tilt, and the architectural features that have made it famous worldwide.
After the guided visit, or on arrival if you've chosen the semi-independent option, you'll have free time to explore at your own pace. You can take photos in Piazza dei Miracoli, stroll through the historic centre, visit the Church of San Sisto, or head to Piazza dei Cavalieri, once the political centre of medieval Pisa and home to the Scuola Normale Superiore.
