You will start your day in Paris at our office located near the Eiffel Tower. Onboard the bus, your guide will take the opportunity to familiarize you with the principles of Impressionism and give you some information about Claude Monet, highlighting how he was perceived by other artists of his time.
You will stop in Vernon, just a few minutes from Monet's house, to enjoy the local open-air market and buy food for the picnic. This will be a great opportunity to taste Normandy cider as well as a host of delicious seasonal produce! Then you will get back on the bus for a short trip across the river to the Vieux Moulin, which was the source of many of Monet's works. There you will stop for lunch and have the opportunity to learn more about the town and Monet's inspiration to live there.
After lunch, you will discover Giverny, Claude Monet's small village. You will be able to enjoy the famous Japanese bridge, visit his house and pose for pictures among rows of bright flowers. Afterward, you will get to walk around the different artists' studios, take the opportunity to see where Claude Monet is buried or, if you wish, relax with a drink at the Hotel Baudy.
