Palau Baró de Quadras, now the headquarters of Institut Ramon Llull, was remodelled by the Modernist architect Josep Puig i Cadafalch between 1902 and 1905. The renovation was commissioned by the textile industrialist Manuel de Quadras i Feliu, 1st Baron of Quadras, for a house he owned on Avinguda Diagonal in Barcelona.
Its interior is inspired by the layout of Catalan Gothic palaces, while its decorative ceramic elements show the influence of Islamic architecture. The main façade features figures dressed in medieval attire, including Saint George, the patron saint of Catalonia, slaying the dragon.
During the visit, you will discover the building's interiors, the noble floor, its two façades, and its impressive staircase.
