The tour begins at the heart of the city--the U.S. Capitol Building. Discover the origins of the city, along with inner workings of the American government and some incredible stories about U.S. politics as you stand right in front of the building that started it all. Discuss the city's development as you gaze upon the Capitol, Supreme Court and Library of Congress. Next, wander up one of D.C.'s most historic streets while engaging in a lively debate, all led by your guide. Opinions are welcome, but keep it friendly.
Pass some of the most historic places of Capitol Hill, including the Eastern Market, Old Navy Hospital and Marine Core Barracks. Find out where all the movers and shakers meet outside the office, hearing about the significant changes the neighborhood and city have undergone.
Finally, check out the oldest commercial district in the city--Barrack’s Row. There, your local guide will point out some of the best spots to eat, drink and socialize before ending the tour at a local favorite bar on the Row. Even if you don’t end up changing any policies, you'll still end the tour at a bar where you'll toast to new friendship!
