The Garage Museum of Contemporary Art offers both permanent collections and changing exhibitions of contemporary artists. The Museum also operates as a research center. Although the Museum mainly focuses on Russian modern and contemporary art from the 1950s onwards, it has also held exhibitions on international artists such as Mark Rothko, Anthony Gormley, Cindy Sherman, Jeff Koons, and Takashi Murakami.
The Museum is situated in the biggest park in Moscow - Gorky Park. Gorky Park is the capital’s central park, with more than 40,000 visitors on weekdays and 250,000 on weekends and public holidays. Since 2011, the Park has become Russia’s first world-class park and a space for recreation, sport, dance, festivals, and outdoor games. After the Museum, you will walk through the Park with your guide and get to discover it for yourself.
