The tour starts at Laureles neighborhood, an artsy and green area famous for its numerous parks, restaurants, design stores, and enormous trees. First, you'll taste a delicious tropical coconut frappuccino at a Mediterranean style coffee shop that also offers Turkish preparation methods. If you're not into frappuccino, Turkish coffee is recommended, but it's not a local choice.
You'll continue walking through the neighborhood and make a stop at a coffee shop recognized for its Aeropress coffee method and for working together with coffee farmers from La Sierra (a peripheral area of Medellin's Comuna 8). At this place, you'll learn about the roasting process and the importance of the social project they are leading. Your next stop will be at a place specialized in making espresso because according to them, the best way to taste a coffee's quality is in a freshly-made espresso.
Finally, you'll stop at a coffee shop-independent designer store to enjoy a delicious cold brew (a 12-hour brewing process that highlights coffee's flavor while producing a cold refreshing beverage) or their fresh homemade ginger or watermelon soda instead of the cold brew.
After a relaxing afternoon filled with coffee and delicious drinks, we'll take you back to your hotel.
