Admire the first retrospective devoted to the Surrealist painter René Magritte that takes place in Madrid since the exhibition organized by the Fundación Juan March in 1989. The Magritte machine exhibition, held in the Museo Nacional Thyssen-Bornemisza focuses on the repetitive, combinatorial element present in the work of the painter, whose obsessive themes constantly reappear with innumerable variations.
Curated by the museum’s artistic director, Guillermo Solana, the exhibition presents more than 90 artworks is divided into 7 different sections:
