The Reina Sofía Museum houses one of the largest collections of modern and contemporary art in the world.
Join this semi-private tour, skip the line at the entrance and discover all the fascinating galleries. Let your guide tell you all the captivating stories on how the museum was born and behind the most important works of art kept inside: in the 1990s, a former hospital was renovated and turned into the Reina Sofía, home to 20th-century art mostly by Spanish artists. The most important artistic movements of the century are represented in the galleries, from abstractionism to cubism, surrealism and modernism. You’ll learn all about Spain’s most famous painter, Pablo Picasso, while standing in front of his world-famous piece, Guernica. You’ll get to admire works by Joan Miró, like The Man with a Pipe, as well as Salvador Dalí’s Face of the Great Masturbator, learning about the techniques and stories of these sometimes offbeat works of art.
