The inside story
Right in the historic center of Gdansk, you will find the Długi Targ Street, which literally translates to 'Long Market Street'. Initially established as a merchant road leading to the oval market place, it is nowadays the city's main artery. The street is lined with a multitude of shops, cafes and restaurants in beautiful houses, rebuilt after the war. With the town hall and the Neptune Fountain, both located on the street, it is a definite must-see for every visitor.
