Take part in a day tour of the amazing Val d’Orcia, located in between Florence and Siena; thanks to its breathtaking landscapes it has become a world-known Unesco heritage site.
Departing from Florence we'll take you along the “Cassia Vetus” road which crosses this beautiful countryside: along the way, you'll have the chance to stop along vineyards and olive groves and to learn all the secrets behind the production of wine and olive oils.
The first site you'll visit is the town of Bagno Vignoni, where you'll enjoy a coffee break in front of the “Piazza delle Sorgenti”, a square that dates back to Roman times. From Bagno Vignoni, in just 15 minutes, you'll reach Pienza, a charming town built in the Reinassance and renown for its pecorino cheese, which you'll taste inside one of the authentic little shops.
Next, you'll head to Montalcino, home to the legendary Brunello wine; you'll take part in a tour of a real Castle from the Middle Ages and, in a family-run estate, you'll get to enjoy a typical Tuscan lunch paired with Rosso di Montalcino and Brunello wines. After lunch, you'll have some time to relax and enjoy the panoramic drive back to Florence.
