The tour crosses the beautiful Chianti hills, the first town you will visit is San Gimignano, also known as the Medieval Mahanattan for its many towers.
Here you will have some free time to discover this fascinating city and have shopping in its typical shops; after visiting San Gimginano you will reach Monteriggioni, a picturesque medieval village located on the top of a hill.
Before reaching Siena you will stop in a characteristic winery among the hills where you can relax and enjoy a typical local lunch and taste 3 local wines as well as many other typical products such as olive oil, balsamic vinegar, cantuccini and vinsanto.
The tour will continue towards the beautiful Siena, famous for its splendid examples of Gothic architecture and for the Palio, the horse race that takes place in the suggestive Piazza del Campo. The guide will take you on a guided tour through Piazza del Campo, the Palazzo Pubblico, the various ‘contrade’ (districts) and the spectacular cathedral; at the end of the visit there will be free time to take a walk or to have a coffee with a piece of Panforte (typical Sienese sweet).
Add to your excursion a guided tour of the Cathedral of Siena and the Piccolomini Library or, if you prefer, choose the "Low cost" option which does not include the guided tour of Siena (lunch and wine tasting are included also in the "Low cost" option).
