A crossroads for migratory birds between Africa and Spain, Andalusia's Doñana Natural Reserve is a haven for wildlife. And this 4x4 tour takes you rumbling through its different ecosystems – pine forest, plains and marshes - in search of the diverse flora and fauna that thrive here.
You'll cover around 70km in total – and the beauty of going by 4x4 means you can take the off-road tracks that can't be reached by bus. The route will begin at Guadalquivir River, driving through areas of forest, Mediterranean scrub and vast clay-lined marshes.
In addition to red deer and boar on the ground, keep an eye on the skies for birds of prey. What's more, over 300 species of birds come to the reserve to breed and winter here during their passage between Spain and Africa. Luckily, you'll have a guide on hand to point out the wildlife and tell you all about the importance of this nature reserve.
