You'll sleep next to Chefchaouen with free time in the morning to explore by foot the blue alleys of the medina and all the treasures this area has to offer.
Fez is dedicated to your fourth day and, after breakfast in your Riad, history is key within this oldest city of Morocco. See the Royal Palace gate, the Jewish quarter, Al Qaraouine University (the oldest in the world), the Tanneries, and Moulay Idriss mausoleum. Next, explore the area known as Switzerland of Morocco, Azrou in the middle of the famed cedar forest, plus further areas of the Middle Atlas and Higher Atlas mountains. You'll see how the scenery changes to reveal hints of the desert as you approach the province of southeast Errachidia city.
Enjoy being welcomed with a glass of mint tea in Merzouga and a camel ride in the dunes of the Sahara Desert to reach the camp where you will spend the fifth night. Marvel at Tinghir, and Todgha gorges – the highest, narrowest gorges in Morocco the following day. Not forgetting the majestic sand castles and the rock formations known as "monkey toes".
Overnight at a guest house overlooking the Dades Valley takes you to the seventh day traveling to Marrakech. An option to visit the rosewater cooperative on the way and the opportunity to explore the process of producing the Argan oil.
