Vienna and Bratislava, the two closest capital cities in Europe, share a rich history rooted in the Austro-Hungarian Empire. Both cities have had the honour of crowning Empress Maria Theresa: Bratislava as Queen of Hungary and Vienna as Empress of Austria. A short one-hour bus journey from Vienna will transport you to the heart of Bratislava.
