Turkey's natural assets are the stars of this trip. You'll bathe in Dalyan's legendary mud pools, sail down an ancient waterway, and visit one of the world's premier loggerhead turtle sanctuaries before rounding off on the famous Iztuzu beach – another prime conservation site.
It's an early start from Antalya, but a journey through the Turkish countryside at sunrise is worth it. Our first stop will be Dalyan's number one conservation area for rare loggerhead sea turtles. Learn all about these creatures before a boat ride down the Dalyan River ends at its famed mud pools. Smother yourself in the warm, sulphur-rich mud and rinse off in the thermal springs – it's said to work wonders for your skin.
After lunch at a local restaurant, we'll cruise past the classical Lycian Tombs. Carved into cliffs above the river, these royal tombs date from about 400 BC. Rounding off the day is free time at Iztuzu beach, a protected nesting ground for endangered loggerhead turtles.
