Combine snowmobiles, ice art and reindeers in this one-of-a-kind combo tour which will take you to the beautiful Tamok valley, a fairytale-like location in the Arctic wilderness.
Your tour will start with a 90-minute scenic drive in a comfortable coach which will take you to the Tromso Ice Domes. Upon arrival, you will be greeted by your guide who will direct you to your first activity of the day, which will be either the snowmobile tour or the ice domes visit depending on the weather conditions.
During the snowmobile tour you will be driving past scenic mountains and through the snow-covered Finn valley. The ride lasts approximately 2 hours and you will be sharing the snowmobile with another passenger. You will be able to switch places along the way so you can both have the opportunity to drive, and you will be going at reduced speed in parts of the track due to the dramatic topography.
The Tromso Ice Domes structure is built every year with the approach of the Polar Night. This piece of art made of snow and ice is a true reflection of the bond that is created between man and nature and will take your breath away. This is much more than an ice hotel or an ice art museum, and you will have the chance to learn all about it during a guided tour of the structure. Your guide will talk about the construction process, the impact of the snow on the survival of Arctic animals as well as some Arctic history.
