After being picked up from your guide, you head out to explore the city of Tbilisi, starting with Abanotobuni, a district of Sulphur baths with beautiful wooden houses, mosques and churches.
You will see the Metekhi Church, which was built in the 13th century and has a turbulent past. Your next stop is Sioni Cathedral, one of the most important churches in Tbilisi where you can see beautiful frescoes and facades. Moving on, you will see the Anchiskhati Church. The three-span basilica is the oldest remaining church in Tbilisi.
Your guide will lead you through the narrow streets of the Old Town where you will explore small shops and cafes, small handmade souvenir shops and have a look at beautiful carpets and Cloisonne enamels.
At the Museum of Georgia, you can explore various archeological artifacts and items found by archeological excavations from 8th millennium B.C. till 4th century A.D., see medieval treasure and visit the Soviet Occupation hall.
Last but not least, you will visit the Narikala Fortress that offers its visitors breathtaking views over the city. Here, you can enjoy city views and taste traditional Georgian cuisine.
