You'll experience the very best of Scotland in a single day! Join a small group adventure to the most magical places on earth with your own experienced tour guide. Venture through Scotland's greatest secrets, from heroes and kings to castles, lochs and waterfalls.
Your journey begins in the heart of Edinburgh, from where your driver-guide will take you on an unforgettable adventure, first past the beautiful Linlithgow Palace, the birthplace of Scottish Royalty and past the Kelpies, the incredible equine statues which tower over Falkirk. Hear their legend and mysteries as you venture next to Stirling to discover the tale of William Wallace and Robert the Bruce, and see Stirling Castle and the Wallace Monument, beneath which the two greatest battles in our history were fought. Through the ancient Roman town of Callander, we make our first stop at Kilmahog for breakfast, where you can enjoy coffee and a 'full Scottish' and sample some of our traditional Haggis in the company of our friendly Highland Cows.
Refreshed, your tour continues into the heart of the Scottish Farmlands where you will discover lochs and waterfalls, ancient ruins, the lands of the Highland Clans and before them, of the Icelandic Vikings, whose presence has still left its mark on the landscape today. Come up close to our Highland Cows and gaze over the beautiful Loch Tulla before crossing the eerie and desolate Rannoch Moor on the road to 'Skyfall' and perhaps even meet our special friends, the Wild Deer of the moors.
On into the beautiful and rugged west coast, you travel next to the unforgettable Valley of Glencoe and the Three Sisters and on through 'Jacobite Country' to Fort William and up towards the mystical shores of Loch Ness. Here you can relax and enjoy some lunch and explore the pretty town of Fort Augustus, or take a boat tour of Loch Ness on the Scottish Thistle Award winning cruise, and go in search of 'Nessie' the most famous resident of the Highlands.
After lunch and an unforgettable stay, the journey continues to the UK's highest peak, Ben Nevis, seen from the Commando Memorial at Spean Bridge, where the Commandos were formed in WW2. Travelling now over the mountains, your guide takes you through the 'paths less travelled' into a wildland of lochs, forests and waterfalls and through the Atholl Forest and the pass of Killiecrankie towards Pitlochry, a captivating Victorian Town set in a bygone age, where once again, you can stop and refresh yourself and even try the famous Scotch Whisky Ice Cream from the most famous ice cream parlour in Scotland.
The road back to Edinburgh slowly winds out of the Highlands, through the city of Perth and the 'Kingdom of Fife' towards the impressive Forth Bridges, from where you can marvel at the world's oldest metal bridge, voted "Scotland's greatest man-made wonder" as we head back towards the vibrant heart of Edinburgh at the end of an incredible and unforgettable day.
